GAY PRAGUE, bars, clubs, restaurants & saunasThe majority of gay venues can be found in the area called Vinohrady, Praha 2 which is just a few minutes walk from the Wenceslas square behind Muzeum, but there are places all over Prague. Praha 2 Vinohrady venues:ON CLUB Vinohradska 40, 120 00 Praha 2  Prague's biggest gay club, at street level there's the Cafe where people meet for coffee or a few beers and a chat,mostly popular with the locals and ex pats, then on the second level there's a small disco & dance floor, which hasa mixed crowd and the occassional hustler. On Fridays & Saturdays the 3rd level is open which has a very big bar &dance floor, with different events and shows every weekend, behind the DJ's box is the cosy VIP bar where you can escape to if you want to get away from the dancing crowds for a small charge. There are also themed rooms, Cleopatra, Gladiator and a SM room with a sling and toys which can be rented for parties. For those who prefer a fag-hag free enviroment there's a men only night every week. Mondays is happy hour all night. Open: Monday - Thursday 17.00 to 05.00 Friday - Saturday 17.00 to 06.00 Sunday 17.00 to 23.00   FENEMAN BAR Blanicka 28, 120 00 Praha 2 Cosy bar where to meet the locals, very friendly bar staff, apart from the main bar area there are chill out areasat the back and in the summer months a beer garden with BBQ's in the weekend. Open: Sunday - Thursday 17.00 to 05.00 Friday - Saturday 17.00 to 09.00 TERMIX Trebizskeho 4c 120 00 Praha 2 Crowded but fun trendy disco/club, always packed on Wednesday nights (Czech music night), but they play some English stuff too, Thursdays is kareoke night which is always a scream because of some of the terrible singers,and for the brave there's always Sundays underwear night. By the toilets there is a darkroom for liasons. My suggestion would be to get there early or late because the middle period is packed and usually a queue to get in. The prices are Czech prices and there's no entry fee except new years eve. Open: Wednesday - Sunday 22.00 to 05.00 Monday - Tuesday CLOSED SAINTS BAR Polska 32, 120 00 Praha 2 Small but friendly English owned bar with a mixed crowd of locals and ex pats, ideal for meeting up with friendsfor pre-dinner drinks or escaping the busy periods of the larger clubs, if you happen to be here on the last Sundayof the month they have pub quiz which is very popular and great for meeting people. Open: Monday -Sunday 20.00 to 04.00 LATIEMERIE CLUB Slezska 74, 120 00 Praha 2 Trendy younger Czech crowd meeting point before heading off for the club scene. Open: Monday - Sunday 16.00 to 02.00 CELEBRITY CAFE Vinohradska 40, 120 00 Praha 2 Restaurant mostly frequented by gay clientelle, good food and not expensive, also ideally located next door to ON club and close to Termix, Feneman & Saints bar. Open: Monday - Thursday 08.00 to 01.00 Friday 08.00 to 02.00 Saturday 10.00 to 02.00 Sunday 10.00 to 00.00 AROMI RESTAURANT Manesova 78, 120 00 Praha 2 An excellent gay friendly Italian restaurant with top quality food, but not for those travelling on a budget, but the lunch menu is good and affordable. For evening meals best to make a reservation, tel Ricardo +420 732 556 104 (all Toucan guests receive a welcome drink) Open: Monday -Sunday 11.00 to 23.00 Praha 1 venues (centre)KAFIRNA U CESKEHO PANA Kozi 13, 110 00 One of Prague's oldest gay bars situated behind the Old Town square, mostly Czech clients over 40 years old, but worth a visit as it's almost like going back in time to the 70's and the furniture is also from that era. Open: Monday - Sunday 12.00 to 24.00 CAFE-CAFE Rytirska 10, 110 Praha 1 Mixed gay/straight trendy younger crowd who like to spend their afternoons people watching. Open: Monday - Sunday 10.00 to 23.00 ESCAPE TO PARADISE v Jame 8, 110 00 Praha 1 Bar with go-go dancers/escorts, shows every night with semi naked and naked boys who are available for a fee. Entry is 200 Kc. Has seen better days and a bit pricey but worth a visit as it quite unique even for people who just go for the shows. Open: Monday - Sunday 22.00 to 04.00 CAFE MUZEUM Mezibrandska 19, 110 00 Place to meet the younger student type gay set, ideally located behind Muzeum so close to the centre and Vinohrady Open: Monday - Sunday 17.00 to 23.00 SAUNA BABYLONIA Martinska 6, 110 00 Praha 1 Prague's biggest (500 sqm) and most popular sauna, gets busy from 18.00 the place to meet tourists and locals alike. Has a cruising area, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, cabins, bar and internet situated on 2 floors Open: Monday - Sunday 14.00 to 03.00 Praha 3 (Zizkov)Borivojova 58, 130 00 Praha 3 Leather and fetish bar with special party's such as underwear, piss, fisting, sling and just about anything else that you can think of, not for the squeemish Open: Monday - Sunday 21.00 to 05.00 TEMPLE Seifertova 3, 130 00 Praha 3 American owned rent boy bar with a strong regular following, mostly straight younger boys and older men looking for them. Like anywhere else in the world it helps to be a bit streetwise in this type of establishment. Praha 5 (Smichov)DRAKES Zborovska 50, 150 00 Praha 5 English managed bar situated on 2 levels (750 sqm) with 40 cabins, dungeon, labyrinth, sling, cage and shows in the weekend. Entry is 200 Kc (free for Toucan guests) and valid for 24 hours. Very friendly management and bar staff. RESTAURANT NOI Ujzed 19, 150 00 Praha 5 Prague's best Thai restaurant mostly frequented by a younger gay club set, slightly pricey but worth it Best to make a reservation as it's quite popular.
